BBO's predicted opening night roster...

Cole-Horcoff-Hemsky
Nilsson-Gagner-Cogliano
Moreau-Brodziak-Pisani
Schremp-Pouliot-Penner
Stortini, McMorrow

Souray-Visnovski
Grebeshkov-Gilbert
Peckham-Staios
Strudwick

Garon
JDD (when Roli gets moved, if he doesn't, then McMorrow is in Springfield)
Roloson

Potulny gets sent down because Schremp, Brule, and Eberle make him expendable and it would allow us to carry a legit heavyweight on the team.

Peckham proves to be too good to pass up and Smid gets some needed time to hone his game at the AHL level.

Deslauriers shows enough for the Oilers to actively look to deal Roloson.

Thanks to theoil from HF boards for bringing to my attention that there was a minimum # of veterans that teams have to dress.

You think Andrew Perugini didn't play well enough to warrant a second look?

I'll seond the Perugini comment and then ask why Mathieu Roy doesn't get into any preseason games.

Perugini, Pitton, Fisher, etc. will have a tough time getting into more than 1 game because Garon, Roloson, and Deslauriers all need to be sharp, and the Oilers need to evaluate Dubnyk as well.

As for Mathieu Roy, at this point I wouldn't waste time on this guy. Waive him and hope for his sake and ours that he's claimed. He has fallen so far down the depth chart that unless we need PB fodder not named Strudwick, it makes no sense to keep him around. I'd probably rather carry 6 d-men, 14 forwards, and 3 goalies than carry Roy on the roster.

Again this would be if I was running camp. The roster however is my prediction on how I think it will play out.
