BBO's Top 20 Oilers Prospects, #15 G Bryan Pitton

Bryan Pitton has entered his first season as a pro with the Stockton Thunder. With the Thunder's AHL affiliate hell bent on getting Devan Dubnyk as many starts as humanly possible (all 12 of Springfield's games have been started by Dubnyk), the likelihood of Pitton or fellow pro rookie Andrew Perugini taking the next step this season is pretty slim at this point.

Pitton has already appeared in 7 games and while he hasn't been anything special statistically, he has put up respectable numbers (0.902 save % and a 2.85GAA). However he has all season to get his game on track after fully adjusting to the ECHL game.

Pitton's development will be handled slowly with Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers and Devan Dubnyk well ahead of him in terms of pro experience and draft pedigree. In the meantime it is up to him to emerge as a legitimate goaltending prospect this year or next.
