Falcons Weekly Preview, Week 6

After a 2-0 victory against the Worcester Sharks on Tuesday, the Falcons look forward to a 3 games in 3 nights stretch. Once again this season the Falcons appear to be shying away from the skilled youth on the team. Sebastien Bisaillon (the team's +/- leader), Cody Wild, and Bryan Lerg were all healthy scratches for the Falcons as they continue to lack offense.

The Falcons have now assigned Bryan Lerg and Stephane Goulet to Stockton of the ECHL. Meanwhile Colin McDonald's stint in the top 6 continues as he flanks Rob Schremp and Ryan Potulny. Questionable decisions all around as far as I'm concerned.

The Falcons currently sit in 3rd place in the Atlantic Division, tied in points with the Providence Bruins, but with 1 less win. The Falcons could be in tough playing a home and home series against the same team that shelled them with 46 shots on Tuesday, the Worcester Sharks. The team has to be much more prepared because no goalie can face that kind of rubber 3 games in a row without at least 1 or 2 lucky bounces going in. Hopefully the Falcons can work on their PP. A PP unit of...

Brule-Potulny-Schremp
Peckham-Chorney

would likely be their best option. Mathieu Roy has seemingly hurt the chemistry on the blueline and he is playing a lot of minutes for a player whose development has stalled.

This is whta it looked like last game.

Peckham - Roy
Chorney - Taylor
Young - Bina

I didn't see the game, so I can't comment on this particular game. Prior to this game Roy was out with Bisaillon on the point and IIRC at ES as well. It was a horrible pairing.

Even more interesting is that Robbie Bina made his AHL debut while Bisaillon sat despite being the team leader in +/- and Cody Wild had produced 3 PP points in only 7 games.

I should be able to watch at least 2 of the Falcons 3 games this weekend, I'll be able to give you better insight at that point.
