How I See The Oilers Moving Up To Take Larsson W/Out Moving Next Years 1st

With rumblings that the Devils are looking to stock their cupboard due to lost picks and prospects from the Ilya Kovalchuk trade and salary cap circumvention penalty, this is what I see happening on draft day.

The Columbus Blue Jackets strike out trying to acquire Jeff Carter, suddenly their eyes turn to Ales Hemsky and possibly Tom Gilbert as well.

To Edmonton: Picks #8, #38, John Moore, and Mike Commodore

To Columbus: Ales Hemsky and Tom Gilbert

Then this trade spawns the trade that nets us Adam Larsson:

To NJ: Picks #8, #31, and #38 (or instead of both 2nd rounders the #19 pick)

To Edmonton: Pick #4 (Adam Larsson)

This means that we still retain next years 1st in a very strong draft, NJ stocks their cupboards, and we walk out of the 2011 draft with 2 of the best players in the draft. Of course all of this is contingent on Larsson being there at #4.
