Falcons Weekly Review, Week 4

The Falcons leaped from 5th in the Atlantic Division to 3rd after winning both games against division rival Lowell. Let's take a look at how the games broke down...

Friday-The Falcons piled it on late and won 4-1. Bryan Lerg had a triumphant return from Stockton recording his first career AHL goal and being named the games 2nd star. Liam Reddox had a big night with 2 goals including a short handed tally. Ryan Potulny and Rob Schremp continued to work their offensive magic with new linemate Carl Corazzini, and Gilbert Brule made his return to the line-up after missing the teams last 4 games. Unfortunately for Brule he would not play in Saturday's game. Devan Dubnyk stopped 18 shots for the W in net.

Saturday-Liam Reddox continued his strong play with an assist and Ryan Potulny had his 3rd 2 goal game of this young season and both of his goals had a familiar name tacked onto the scoring summary. Potulny's last 5 goals have come off of Schremp assists, directly, or secondarily. Ryan O'Marra returned to the lineup and got his 2nd PP assist of the season as well as providing solid penalty killing. Theo Peckham added his 2nd assist in as many nights, and Devan Dubnyk won his 5th game of the season in 9 games played. Dubnyk has started all 9 Falcons games this season.

Slava Trukhno 2gp. 0-1-1 with no shots
Tyler Spurgeon 2gp. 0-0-0 with 1 shot

Falcons summary, the top line continues to roll while the 2nd line has faltered a bit. Perhaps it has something to do with Slava Trukhno's switch to the RW? Any which way, the team's offense has been coming from its top line as well as players like Liam Reddox and Tim Sestito.
The Falcons have a 3 way tie for the teams leading scorer. Ryan Potulny, Liam Reddox, and Rob Schremp all have 8 points at the end of Saturday. Theo Peckham has continued his rapid learning process and now has 5 points in 9 games while Taylor Chorney has hit a bit of an offensive roadblock and now sits at a -6 in 9 games.

Amoung The League's Leaders
Ryan Potulny is 2nd in the AHL with 8 goals
Rob Schremp is 6th in the AHL with 8 assists
Devan Dubnyk is 7th in the AHL with 5 wins
