Hemsky Not Looking at the Coach's Board Tells the Story

He has no confidence in the coach, and the coach's play calling ability. Once again the Oilers sleepwalk through the first period only to get going in time to make it an interesting loss. It's the same old song and dance. On the GWG it was plain as day that Modano was pinching in, he couldn't get a less contested pinch in practice.

Once again Penner, Hemsky, and Souray were solid. Brodziak took the old adage of get to the front of the net for rebounds and turned it into a 2 goal night. Once again it wasn't enough to overcome the early onslaught of their opponent. The Oilers just lost to the worst team in the league ladies and gentlemen. A team minus Zubov, Morrow, Lehtinen, and Ott. This is not an acceptable outcome and the teams start sure as hell isn't acceptable.

Whatever the teams game day routine is, it needs to get shit canned. You cannot consistently win games when you are spotting the other team goals in the 1st period.

Lastly, here's to hoping that Nilsson isn't hurt. I didn't see him after he went down late in the 3rd. And it was nice to see Stortini stand there and trade 'em for once. He took the early part of the fight before ultimately losing the 2nd 1/2 of it and the fight as a whole later on. Spirited scrap by #46.
