While his stats in his last 7 games maybe less than spectacular (2-4-6 +2 18sog 4pim.) Rob Schremp has most certainly turned a corner in his season. He is back to his early season form except even better because he is looking to shoot the puck. Look at this howitzer of a shot after he dangles along the blueline in Saturdays game.Hopefully his play coincides with the hiring of Rob Daum and not because he has been told to play well if he wants to move to another team on deadline day. With the number of scouts at recent Falcons games the latter is definitely a distinct possibility.
Kevin Prendergast was also there this weekend, maybe he saw enough that he'll recommend to the Oilers brass that they give him 1 last shot come next training camp. No matter what happens Schremp is back on tack to being a NHL player, with who is anyones guess.

Welcome back BB. I think the only way Schremp gets a chance with the big club is if there's a big trade up front (at least 2 of Cole, Pouliot and Nilsson shipped out).
Either way, he's got to realize that right now he's auditioning for a contract with someone else either thru a deadline/draft day trade.
Curious as to what you think about Daum so far. Appears the Falcons could be making a turnaround. It's only been 7 games, but points in 4 of them (2 wins, 1 OTL, 1 SOL) is not bad compared to where they were.
They didn't roll over and die yesterday when they were down 4-2 in the 3rd, that's a big change from when Truitt was coach. I like their fight much better under Daum.
IMO the club should deal Nilsson and give Schremp a shot, he won't be any more inconsistent at worst, and IMO he'll add more to our PP and be a better player for us on the big club. If Rob gets in good with Daum and by some miracle MacT gets canned, perhaps they will both be with the big club next year.
