The Bruins Say HALLelujah as the Leafs Fall to the Lowly Oilers

Not owning their own 1st round pick this season or next and with the possibility of getting into striking distance of a playoff spot, the Leafs soil themselves 3-1 to the Oilers. The only winners in all of this are the Carolina Hurricanes and the Boston Bruins. The Oilers could've lost their eight in a row and continued their slide towards Carolina and Taylor Hall. Instead who knows what's going on with the Oil, is a 2 or 3 game winning streak or a 4 game losing streak coming up?

Where was our captain tonight? No offensive zone penalty from #18 when we needed it. Where were the minus brothers Horcoff and O'Sullivan? Hell O'Sullivan even scored a couple of goals. This is not good Oilers fans, the bad ship mediocrity has set sail yet again. What the Oilers need is a crushing defeat in Calgary. Man does it suck when you feel obligated to drop so far as a fan to want your team to lose to their hated rivals.

Hopefully Tambellini won't let this club go on a roll and he will deal some of these players listed as trade bait for picks or prospects in junior. The club doesn't need help this season because this season should be a write off and to solidify drafting a key building block for future success. But hey as bad as it is, at least we aren't the Leafs.
