Could we be seeing 1 or even both of these guys donning the Oil drop in the very near future? I have read 2 different sources say that there will be call ups made in the VERY near future. Both of these guys have been doing very well in Springfield, and on most nights they are the top 2 forwards on the ice for the Falcons.
Of course it could be Lefebvre stepping in to fill the vacant position left by the departure of Jesse Boulerice and the benching of Zack Stortini. Maybe Tim Sestito will get the call to fill Fernando Pisani's spot on the PK and Stortini's spot on the 4th line? Tyler Spurgeon could also be deemed as Fernie's temporary fill-in.
As excited as I am to see who gets the call, I am equally anxious to see who may get demoted, traded, waived, or sent down to Springfield. It seems as if this could be Craig Mactavish's last charge and if it is he wants guys that will work hard for him, not guys that have tuned him out.
New blood could work as we've seen what Liam Reddox has done with his chance to play. AHL call ups won't lead this team anywhere, but they should give the team some fresh blood and give some of the under performing players a kick in the butt.
