The 20th and final prospect on my inaugural top 20 prospects list from 9/15/08, Cornet currently leads his team in scoring with 11-26-37 in 33 games with Rimouski of the QMJHL, and is one of 2 18 year old forwards on his team with better than a 1 point per game average.
Cornet stood out for me at Oilers rookie camp, IMO he could be a player in the mold of Slava Trukhno. I fully expect Cornet to make the transition to pro hockey when he is ready in 2 years time.
Definitely a player to watch in the system, and a player that could shoot up the list in a hurry next season.
