MacT is Like an 80 Year Old Grandmother With a Hemi 'Cuda

With the addition of Patrick O'Sullivan, the Oilers bolstered a group of already speedy forwards. Hemsky, Horcoff, Cogliano, Nilsson, Brodziak, and now O'Sullivan. Add in Gilbert Brule on the farm and this could be one HELL of a fast team. Then you have your puck moving d-men: Grebeshkov, Gilbert, Souray, Smid, and when healthy Visnovsky. Not to mention if we luck out this off season in the Bouwmeester sweepstakes.

On top of that we have a young up and coming and athletic goaltender that is capable of moving across the crease with speed. This team should be a run 'n gun team if I've ever seen one. While the team is without Visnovsky at the moment and Roli is our #1 goalie until he becomes a spokesman for life alert, next year this team had damn well better bring back Oilers hockey.

IMO a new coach is the only way to go. MacT is putting low octane fuel in a high performance vehicle. It's rather obvious which direction upper management is aiming for, but the man in between is the equivalent of a wing man that scares away the chicks.

Time to let this season run its course, but next season it's time for someone that appreciates horsepower, not someone that craps their pants every time they touch the throttle to hold the steering wheel on this team.

Are you referring to Bryan Pitton or Andrew Perugini?

From all reports I've read, Dubnyk has issues with lateral movement because of his massive frame, and from the little I've seen from Deslauriers, he suffers the same ailment.

Deslauriers is very quick across the crease for a big man. You haven't gotten a chance to see him play enough for him to show that. Dubnyk has also really improved in that area this year.
