Maybe Crawford IS the Man For This Team?

Don't get me wrong, I've freaking despised listening to him on HNIC this year, but tonight a few things dawned on me. He was bang on in his assessment of Taylor Chorney, he's supposedly an offense friendly coach, and despite the Bertuzzi fiasco, it shows that unlike our current (and hopefully soon to be ex) coach, he belives in an eye for an eye.

I can't stand his voice, but quite frankly I rarely listen to the post game scrums unless something of substance is mentioned on a hockey board, and it'd be a small price to pay if we became a winner or at the very least played an exciting style again.

Oh yeah, and his name isn't Kelly Buchberger. Oh, and one other thing, keep him the hell away from Dan Cloutier.

I am sure alot of people will be dead set against him, however he may be good for this team. The only problem is how is this team going to look like next year. It could be very different that the one that played the last two games this weekend.

Hes certainly watched enough of our games to understand the players on the roster. Problem is would he want to inherit that...

Some of the things he says about players are bang on like his chorney/gagner assessment but other times he sounds totally out to lunch.

Crawford is not the answer. Scott Arneil, coach of the Manitoba Moose is a good choice. He just won Coach of the Year in the AHL. His team, the Moose allowed the fewest goals this season.

I want to see an offensive style of hockey and from what I've heard the Moose are always piled high with AHL vets. Crawford might be a good fit as long as Tambellini doesn't feel the need to keep him past his expiration date like Lowe did with MacT.

It won't be Crawford. He can't even pronounce the Oilers names properly. I like Scott Arniel better than Marc Crawford. Marc Crawford handles goalies as well as MacT. He can't. Do you think Schremp will make the team with a new coach? I don't.

We don't need nor want another defensive first coach. This team needs a hard nosed coach like Brent Sutter.

Sutter will be our next coach. When Jersey finally gets the boot from the playoffs.
