Tonight, the Pens superstars will be called upon to carry their team to victory so that they aren't witness to seeing the same team skate the cup on their turf for the 2nd year in a row. I believe that the Sid and Evgeni show will prevail tonight, but will they be able to come full circle and skate the cup on Detroit's ice?
It is no big surprise that Detroit has the better team, better depth, and a recent history as a winner. However games like this one is the perfect stage for truly great players to elevate their games to epic levels that only great players can achieve and buck conventional wisdom and the odds and do something that will be remembered and replayed for decades to come.
It's only a matter of time before these players make their marks on history and as long as they remain healthy they will have LOTS of time to do so, but why not start tonight and seal the deal on Friday? Here's to hoping that we see what these guys can do to will their team to victory and to stake their claim as a cup contender for the next decade.
